Fireworks always make me feel like a kid again at a 4th of July picnic!
I always wonder how they get
the colors to stay in the right places?
Amazing!
1600 speed film and a
outdoor festival can create magic!
Watch out for too much smoke though,
clouds up the picture
Tripods sometimes are a must!
Single
fireworks- short exposure
Double
with longer exposures
Multiples take longer
Go to your favorite fireworks show.
Get a clear view of where they will shoot off the fireworks.
Get your tripod and mount your camera.
The type of film you use will depend upon how large the final print you
want
400, 800 or 1600 speed will work.
Play with the shutter speeds but open the lens iris wide.
Sometimes when you open
the shutter for a long period of time, numerous fireworks will end up on the
same picture
Just be sure to have a shorter exposure during the grand
finales, because too much fireworks in one picture do not usually come out
good due to the fact they are superimposed over one another and start to
blend in as well as the smoke impairs the image.
The scene of the crime- actually it is where they shot off the fireworks and
this is afterwards!
